Cabin 14
By Courtney Fenton
Marketing Intern
My husband Tim and I have had the privilege of being Cabin 14's Cabin Uncle and Aunt. This means we get to eat a few meals with them, bring them candy and most importantly, pray for them and their amazing counselors, Luke P. and Tim H. At the beginning of our time with these eight boys, we gave each of them a piece of paper and asked them to write down something interesting, a prayer request they had, and the candy they liked. Here were a few great responses:
A few interesting facts:
- "I think that God will make a new earth and that the Bears are better than the Green Bay Packers."
- "Eskimos skin their own rabbits."
- "What I think is cool is that God can love us even though we're so sinful."
- "I think monkeys and kangaroos are cool."
It has been such a great experience for us. Getting to know a group of 9 and 10-year-old boys and being able to pray for them while they encounter the Lord has been very rewarding.
We ask the HoneyRock family to continue to pray for the remainder of the summer.
RENDEZ-FEST FUN
With the summer theme "Northland Rendezvous" the Rendez-fest was a hit. The campers had loads of fun with the many different activities that took place!
Here are two assistant counselors ready to attack!
Below is a camper on the soapy slick slide!
Below is a counselor and camper before a tag game.

Instead of Duck, Duck, Goose- it is Drip, Drip, POUR!!!
Fun has Begun!
Our Session 2 Residential Campers, Sawtooth Mountains, Pictured Rocks and Isle Royale trip campers arrived safe and sound yesterday and the fun has already begun. Here are a few campers before Camper Worship this morning.
The next picture is after camper worship and a counselor is teaching a camper a hand trick.
Then the campers were on their way to Activity Time!
