Article Excerpt:

Cabin14
By Courtney Fenton
Marketing Intern

My husband Tim and I have had the privilege of being Cabin 14's Cabin Uncle and Aunt. This means we get to eat a few meals with them, bring them candy and most importantly, pray for them and their amazing counselors, Luke P. and Tim H. At the beginning of our time with these eight boys, we gave each of them a piece of paper and asked them to write down something interesting, a prayer request they had, and the candy they liked. Here were a few great responses:

A few interesting facts:

  • "I think that God will make a new earth and that the Bears are better than the Green Bay Packers."
  • "Eskimos skin their own rabbits."
  • "What I think is cool is that God can love us even though we're so sinful."
  • "I think monkeys and kangaroos are cool."

It has been such a great experience for us. Getting to know a group of 9 and 10-year-old boys and being able to pray for them while they encounter the Lord has been very rewarding.

We ask the HoneyRock family to continue to pray for the remainder of the summer.
